LAZY SUMMER DAYS

Shout-out to Grandma...I love you mom!!! Thanks so much for coming down to be with us for a short weekend! We had so much fun!

It is already so nice to not have to worry about Taylor getting to school or making sure the kids get to bed early. There is nothing better than a summer evening, hanging out together with no tv or computer or cell phones!!

UPDATE, UPDATE, UPDATE!

UPDATE!!!
Okay so I would say that I am the worst blogger in the world, but lets face it, most all ya'll out there update your blogs just about as much as I do so I don't feel so bad...here is my attempt to update everyone on our family (eventhough by the time I get everything posted it will be time to update all over again!)

HOTTIE BO-BOTTIE!

I mean seriously, could the guy get any cuter?!!! Tim has been staying busy as ever and changed jobs just a bit...since getting his broker's license early this year, He started his own Commercial Brokerage and partnered up with a past client to add commercial development into his pot. He now works his own Commercial Real Estate Company and also acts as the land aquisitions guy at his client's Development company. The best part of his year so far (I am sure) is that he is finally finishing his flying lessons in order to get his private pilot's license. He is as excited as a school boy and is having so much fun flying planes!!! It is really great to see him have some fun!!

I RAN A HALF MARATHON!

WE DID IT!!! In April we (Janene, Michelle, Felicia, Mom, Me, Diane Swenson, her daughter Julie and daughter in law Delaine) all decided to do a half marathon, so we flew out to Nashville (because that was the only race that fit into our schedule.) We were gone 5 days, without any kids!!! (Thanks Tim) and had a blast!!! It was my first half marathon and I had so much fun that I talked Tim into doing another one with me this summer(I'll keep everyone posted on how that turns out.) It was especially great because my mom was there too and did a great job in the race!! My official time was something like 2 hours 33 min (I know I'm a slow runner and also I didn't train!!) Anyway, I totally wasn't prepared for how hard it was going to be and my legs hurt for a week afterwards. We all soaked our feet in ice baths after the race and I think that helped my feet from swelling up like balloons. It was such an awesome experience and I am so glad I got to do it! Tim and I have a heftly goal to run a full marathon sometime, but who knows when! Thanks to all the girls! I love you all and had such a blast and feel so much closer to all of you!

(PS. Felicia, I totally shaved my arms and I love it!!!!)

HALF MARATHON "WARMUP"

The Good Ol' Canal Caper, Ephrata WA!!
Me, Stan and Kets thought it would be fun to walk the 10k that weekend...(okay they didn't but I talked them into it) we were really bored that day and as you can tell we took the race very, very seriously! (I think we came in almost dead last!!!) But it was fun and I totally love you girls!!!

Sweet Tay....her first year of school will end this Friday and we are all ready for a break! We got to go to the zoo together for her end of the year field trip and had so much fun! Along with that, she rode "her" horse Bill for the first time by herself in March and cannot stop talking about how skilled she is on a horse. She of course informed us that she is going to be a rodeo queen when she grows up (Jarom said he wants to be the prophet when he grows up...bit different) But her love for all things animals and ourdoors is evident in all she does. She has grown up so much this year and I am already feeling pressured for the small amount of time we have left with her before she is running to college!! Taylor also lost her first tooth a couple of months ago.

Jarom also had a birthday...and turned 4 in April. He had a party at the park and thought it was the best day of his life! he started pre-school this spring as well as soccer and he just thinks he is so grownup, eventhough he really is the most sensitive baby of all the kids! We love J so much and are still patiently waiting for him to come out of the, "terrible two's" stage...I guess he didn't get the memo that he was suppose to grow out of it by now! He is still the same ol' Jarom, wanting to be just like dad in everything and the other day at lunch he even had to take his drinks at the exact same time as Dad. Really cute (but kinda annoying at times for Tim.)

TACEN:

Tace turned a year old in March which means he had his first (and long overdue) haircut, and is walking talking and running about all day long! He is sooooo much fun and he has our family laughing and laughing and laughing. He is the center of our family right now and we all love that he is!
