June was basically a ridiculous month with so many things going on I couldn't even remember what day it was, but we had so much fun that month!!!
Here are the highlights....
Tim finally finished his private pilot's license and has since enjoyed flying for both business and pleasure! He also did a pretty cool race called, "Sawtooth" which was a 62 mile team race up a mountain...now he has completely gotten the bug to be active in a way he never has before and is currently training for all kinds of cross country races and triathlons!

Made a stop off at Crator's of the Moon on the way to Bozeman, Montana...kid's had a blast and mostly enjoyed feeding the wild baby squirrels (which you are not supposed to do!)

Trip to Montana was mostly to visit some close family friends, The Peterson's! So much fun just hanging out and catching up!!

Fishing doesn't get much better than in Montana so we took a couple opportunities to go while we were there. Jarom and Tim caught their first fish (EVER) and they were both so excited! Tacen was fishing without any real line because he kept almost killing us with the hook, but he didn't seem to notice he wasn't catching anything! I just enjoyed sitting back and taking in the view of my beautiful family and the amazing, majestic surroundings!!

of course you can't go to Montana without heading to Yellowstone!! We especially wanted to make a trip there becuse Tim and the kids had never been. It was raining off and on all day, but that didn't hold us back any, although I think it made all the really cool animals go into hiding because the only thing we saw all day was buffalo and deer! (But still worth it!)

After Montana we made a quick stop at the farm for a few days of summer time fun; swimming in Grandma Cobb's pool, riding horses, playing and being lazy! And for Taylor her first pedicure with mom and Grandma Black...

Next, we sprinted off to Birch Bay, WA for the black family bi-annual summer trip. We made some great memories there and some not so great memories there...we can all laugh about the trip now, but i think we would all say it wasn't exactly what we had in mind...especially that, "FANTASTIC" day in Canada...I'll just highlight some good parts: Making Erryn and Haylee do the, "amazing race" for their birthdays (the picture is of them jumping rope from the beach across the street to our condo), bonfire at the beach and singing Michael Jackson songs (we were there the day he died), ultimate frisbee at the park, swimming, Jarom golfing with Tim and Uncle Jake, watching Jane Eyre (which took us I think three nights to finish!!!)FHE, Shopping and especially shopping with my mom for dresses at the fruit stand by the side of the road (don't ask.) I love all my amazing, crazy, drama-loaded family...you guys are, THE BEST!!! (and Tim I love you for putting up with us when we all get together!)

Tim and I left straight from Birch Bay to Seattle with his mom and aunt to participate in the inaugural "Rock and Roll" Seattle Marathon (thanks mom for driving all the way home with the kids and watching them while we were gone that weekend!!) We did the half marathon (since we had no training at all!) and it was soooo much fun!! It was Tim's first half marathon and it was cool to be there together! We ran the race together and the run was beautiful! Most of it was all along the river and about mile 8 we even got to see a Bald Eagle sitting in a tree about 10 feet above our heads...but my favorite part of the race was the mile we ran in the freeway express lane tunnel with a local band playing their music inside. The acoustics were awesome and it was dark and loud and there was just so much energy! Tim and I stayed together the whole race and even crossed the finish line at exactly the same time, at just barely over 2 hours (which is more than a 1/2 hour off my time from last year...thanks for keeping me going Tim!) It really was so much fun being together and I can't wait until next year when we do another one! Also i have to give a shout-out (do people still say that??) to Michelle, who came with us and was our team, "manager!" We couldn't have done it without you!!! :)

Okay, so after the Marathon we went home for a whole week before heading BACK up to Washington for an early anniversary present Tim and I gave ourselves...tickets to see ColdPlay at the Gorge (fantastic seats!!!) Dan and Shannon came with us along with Haylee and her BFF who both had recently turned 18! It was one of the highlights of my summer and one of the BEST concerts I have ever been to! Plus, it was the first concert Tim and I had been to together since we went and saw Oasis before he left on his mission!!! The whole day was just a blast! (sorry Dan, for some reason I don't have any pics of you, probably a good thing considering you and Tim were so wild at the concert we could barely contain you both....)
